From my mind to yours.

My name is Adrianna, and ever since taking a psychology class my sophomore year of high school, I’ve been obsessed with the nervous system. How its intricacies allow the human body to function, why the structure of a neuron is as complex as it is, and the continual importance of a healthy nervous system has always fascinated me. My interest was maintained after reading many different medical journals, articles, and lab reports about neurology. Even though I thought my love for this topic couldn’t grow any larger than it already was, my curiosity drove me to spend one summer immersing myself in a college summer STEM program. After years of studying a wealth of information, I can’t keep this passion for understanding the nervous system and all it can do to myself any longer.

This blog is a pursuit to share the knowledge I’ve gained in a style that can be understood by normal people, not just the scientists and doctors who have devoted their lives to this topic. But, I have a loftier goal I’d like to accomplish: the significance of the countless possibilities of how an underappreciated unit of the nervous system may possibly change the medical field. It is very important that this one neglected, yet crucial component of the nervous system needs to be given the time and attention it deserves, and I’m here to give you my best attempt at doing so in a way that any person can recognize its importance.

With me as your guide, we will study the nervous system, focus on what most past, and some current, neurologists overlooked, and explore its value to the future of medicine. I hope that you leave my blog a little more interested in neuroscience than you were before, and I look forward to sharing my passion with you.
